The hotel complex is situated on a sloping terrain descending to the Adriatic Sea near the town of Opatija in Croatia.
The main part of the complex is the hotel building. The ground plan dimensions are 177 x 36 m. The building has four underground and six above-ground floors. The underground part contains fitness, several wellness rooms, machine rooms, parking, facilities for employees, and a restaurant with a kitchen. The upper six floors provide accommodation for hotel guests with the total capacity of 132 rooms.
Another part of the complex consists of four detached villas, with the total number of 63 apartments. Another separate building is an outdoor swimming pool, which is connected to a vertical elevator structure and a staircase that provide convenient access from the hotel to the sea level.
All the main parts of the buildings are made of monolithic reinforced concrete. Smaller parts are made of prefabricated reinforced concrete or steel. For all parts of the complex, SCIA Engineer has been used for several analyses. Allplan Engineering has helped us with 3D modelling and with a detailed reinforcement drawing.
