Opatija, Croatia

The hotel complex is situated on a sloping terrain descending to the Adriatic Sea near the town of Opatija in Croatia.

The main part of the complex is the hotel building. The ground plan dimensions are 177 x 36 m. The building has four underground and six above-ground floors. The underground part contains a fitness center, several wellness rooms, machine rooms, parking, facilities for employees, and a restaurant with a kitchen. The upper six floors provide accommodation for hotel guests with a total capacity of 132 rooms.

Another part of the complex consists of four detached villas, with a total of 63 apartments. Another separate building is an outdoor swimming pool, which is connected to a vertical elevator structure and a staircase that provide convenient access from the hotel to sea level.

All the main parts of the buildings are made of monolithic reinforced concrete. Smaller parts are made of prefabricated reinforced concrete or steel. SCIA Engineer has been used for several analyses of all parts of the complex. ALLPLAN Engineering helped us with 3D modeling and detailed reinforcement drawings.
