What is buildingSMART?
buildingSMART International is a global non-profit organization that sets standards for the digital transformation of the construction industry. The main objective of the organization is to enable open and transparent exchange of data through all stages of the life cycle of buildings – from design and construction to management.
BuildingSMART's most famous contribution is the development of IFC (Industry Foundation Classes it is the foundation of open BIM (Building Information Modeling). Open BIM enables independence from software manufacturers and encourages cooperation among all participants in the construction process.
Course content
Step into the BIM World properly and learn all the information about the changes and improvements that follow in our industry in one place. Gain knowledge of BIM, principles, methods, expectations, basic terminology, and documentation.
Through this course, participants will understand BIM history and development through the years, know how to define the basic concepts of BIM modes of work and their meanings.
Introduction to the national implementation of BIM, basic documentation and all participants will be able to apply BIM mode in their environment.
The training will be followed by the buildingSMART test and certification, where the participants will receive the official buildingSMART certificate.
