GEO5 software

Geological modeling

Product description

3D soil modeling

The basic program for creating 3D models of soil layers is Stratigraphy.

The modeling process corresponds to the job description of a geologist:
  • Ground investigation data – boreholes, wells, CPTs, SPTs, etc.
  • Interpretation of input data and soil profile creation
  • Creating 2D cross-sections similar to those in CAD programs
  • Automatic generation of 3D models from input cross-sections

All entered data can be used for the creation of geological documentation.

Exporting Data to GEO5 Programs

The 3D model can also be used to input data into all other GEO5 programs – soil profiles can be copied from arbitrary coordinates into 1D programs, e.g., for shallow or deep foundations, and complete cross-sections can be transferred to 2D programs, e.g., for stability analysis. All entered data can be added to the geological documentation.

The entire model can be exported to other programs in various formats; e.g., IFC, DWG, DXF, LandXML, and used for BIM modeling.

Earthworks modeling

Using the additional module Stratigraphy – Earthworks, various modifications can be made to the finished 3D model; e.g., excavation for foundation pits, embankment construction, modeling of linear or surface structures. In each construction phase, it is possible to calculate excavation and embankment volumes or to calculate the change in water volume above ground level.
